Assessment
The Assessment phase of the DAViD™ Methodology measures the delta between
the goals for the web site, app, gui and the reality, determining the user's actual
experience and how successful the product/service is at delivering on business
objectives.
We ask two key questions during the Assessment phase:
- Who are the actual users and what are their goals for using the product?
- What is the delta between the current user experience and the user experience that should be delivered in order to meet both your business goals and your customers' user experience goals?
To answer these questions, we use a variety of proven lab-based and field-based testing and assessment techniques, including
- usability testing
- field studies
- usability maturity
- task analysis
- web log analytics
- expert evaluations
Deliverables from the Assessment phase will provide concrete information and data that will provide the foundation for the Vision phase. Answers coming out of Assessment include
- user profiles and personas
- user requirements definitions
- usage scenarios and user journeys
- user needs analysis
- task flows
- usability maturity level
