The Product
TrueContext mExperienceT Manager is a server-based software solution that
manages numbers of mobile devices, their applications and data.
Mobile Operators, Managed Service Providers and Enterprise IT departments
can offer users of OS-enabled devices access to relevant content
and have it seamlessly delivered to the end device. At the same time
users are freed from the memory constraints of the device, able to swap content
on and off their devices as requirements change.
The TrueContext mExperience ManagerT product lets users add a mobile capability to their organization without additional burden to their system administrators, operations and support staff. Mobile device users become more effective while organizations simultaneously lower the total cost of ownership of managing these devices.
The Challenge
Maskery was asked to design the Systems Administration and Operation user interface for the mExperience Enterprise Edition. The resulting interface had to demonstrate and deliver the operational values of simplicity, clarity and ease-of-use without compromising the feature sophistication. Starting from a written feature specification, Maskery had four weeks to design, iterate and deliver the final user interface design.
The Solutions
With a team of user and visual interaction designers working in parallel, Maskery worked to create an information architecture for the application as well as several options for the visual design layout. After review with the TrueContext team, the high level user interface was approved and detailed design work began in earnest. Working in tandem with the TrueContext product management group, who conducted several usability walkthroughs using wire framed materials from Maskery, the user interface quickly took shape. The work was completed on time and within budget.
The Result
TrueContext, working with Maskery behavioural specialists and visual designers, received a first-rate, fully tested interface that engineered and presented a high-energy and positive user experience with their new product.
