Human Factors Specialists
Human factors specialists are a key part of our work. We want talented, committed professionals who want to use their education and experience in challenging, exciting projects. We look for human factors specialists with a post-graduate degree in human factors, ergonomics, industrial psychology or cognitive psychology. A senior specialist should have ten or more years experience as a human factors specialist providing design and research services for consumer, commercial and industrial products including installability, maintainability, usability upgradeability and manufacturability considerations. In addition, applications should bring with them the following qualities:
- Familiarity with the ‘Whole Product Experience’ concept and have experience in designing for phases other than ‘using it’ (e.g. installing, maintaining, upgrading, deploying, etc)
- Ability to interact with our key clients, shape discussions, provide recommendations, establish credibility and exert significant influence on client decisions is a must
- Knowledge of designing for people with disabilities an asset
- Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution
- Proven ability to explain the rationale for design decisions
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Located in Ottawa or Toronto and available to start immediately
- Bilingualism and government security clearances an asset
